I Left my A-Rank Party to Help My Former Students Reach the Dungeon Depths!: What's up guys?? Let's get to another analysis full of mysteries, fights and let's say... ridiculing some enemies? And before we start, I'll warn you, this is not about a reincarnation anime where the protagonist goes to another world. The anime in question is called I Left My A-rank Party to Help My Former Students Reach the Dungeon Depths!, or in literal translation: I left my A-rank party to help my former students reach the depths of the dungeon.
I Left my A-Rank Party to Help My Former Students Reach the Dungeon Depths! Official synopsis from Crunchyroll:
Not every group treats you like a hero – especially if you're an inferior red mage like Yuke. So, after a year of constant ridicule by his A-rank groupmates, he decides to abandon them. Looking for a new group, he reunites with his former students Marina, Silk, and Rain, to join his group. But on a mission to conquer the largest dungeon in the world, they get caught up in the chaos that threatens the world.
I Left my A-Rank Party to Help My Former Students Reach the Dungeon Depths! Analysis:
As of this analysis, the anime has only two episodes and is an adaptation of a Japanese light novel series of the same name that tells the story of the not-so-young Yuke Feldio (or Stinky to some people). The story takes place in a world where Yuke is ridiculed by his group mates and gets tired of being treated like a “jack of all trades”. He then joins a group of former students, Marina, Silk and Rain, to try to conquer the largest dungeon in the world and all its riches.
From what I've been able to gather so far (or maybe it's just my imagination), Yuke doesn't seem interested in the riches, but rather concerned with proving that he's not a “nobody” or just a random wizard. There is a reason he wants this, there is something he is hiding in his past that I hope will be further explored as the episodes progress.
The group led by Yuke is, let's say, quite complex, but nothing too out of the ordinary. We have the main character surrounded by his "helpers", who, deep down, are secretly in love with him, but who can't show it and create a kind of rivalry between themselves.
The visuals of the anime are incredible, with well-drawn lines and rich details, very much in the style of Dungeons & Dragons, to tell the truth. The opening is enchanting, but it hurts because it gives away too many spoilers right away, and those who read my reviews know that this is something that makes me skip the opening every time it happens.
So far, with two episodes released, the narrative of the characters and the construction of the story are being well developed.
Speaking of the story was written by KÅsuke Unagi and illustrated by Super Zombie. The anime is distributed by Kodansha Ltd., releasing one episode per week. So far, there is no news about dubbing in Portuguese, but the subtitles are good.
The anime is rated for ages 14 and older and is available with dubbing in English and Japanese, as well as subtitles in more than 15 languages. I intend to bring more news about the anime after episode 6, including making some comparisons with my expectations.
Now, all we can do is wait for the next episodes, very lively episodes!
