Zenshu anime is now available on Crunchyroll and it's great! If you're a fan of fantasy stories and mangakas, I think this title will exceed your expectations.
Thanks to Crunchyroll, Otaku Press had early access to the first episode and we present you a spoiler-free review:
I don't know if I should call it an "isekai", and I don't think even the protagonist is convinced about it. The truth is that it will surprise you from the beginning.
Everything starts normally when we meet the cartoonist and animator Natsuko Hirose who dedicates her life to her work. She is very reserved, so much so that we don't see her face, only her jaw or lips, but not her full face. So far, nothing (so) strange. She even has a favorite series from her childhood that she remembers during her "creative block."
The curious thing here is that she is "transported" to that same story and is aware of it. She remembers everything from that movie because it is one of her favorites and it is here that she discovers how important her participation in the story is. What role will she take on now? That's what you'll want to find out now! Will we find out her face?
The animation is great since this series is about the work of an animator, and we get to see a little bit of the "behind the scenes" of the production of an gogoanime, including the drawing part, which seems to be our protagonist's greatest talent.
The music gives it the adrenaline we need, especially in the last minutes of the first episode. It will definitely be a series I'll be following this winter 2025 season!
Zenshu Official synopsis:
After graduating from high school, Natsuko Hirose begins her career as an animator. Her talent blossoms quickly, and before long, she makes her debut as a director. Her first hianime becomes a huge hit, sparking a social phenomenon and gaining recognition as a promising director. Her next project is set to be a romantic comedy film with the theme of first love. However, having never been in love, Natsuko struggles to understand the concept of first love, which prevents her from creating the storyboard and causes the film's production to halt. One day, she faints while working on her storyboard and wakes up in the world of her favorite childhood anime film, "A Tale of Perishing."
